Terms and privacy

BantaWars is for people aged 18 and over. By joining or starting a league you confirm you are 18 or older.

It is a free game played for bragging rights. There are no stakes, no entry fees and no prizes, and nothing you do here is a bet.

You predict the score of each game before it kicks off. Each game locks at its official kick-off time, and predictions cannot be changed after that.

Points are 3 for an exact score, 2 for the right result and the right goal difference, and 1 for the right result. Results come from our data provider after full time. If a result is corrected, scores are re-graded.

Postponed games that are not played within 48 hours of the original kick-off are void and score nothing.

Keep names and league names about the football. We block slurs, threats, personal information and links, and we can remove names, leagues or players that break this.

One person, one player. Accounts set up to game the tables can be removed.

Your sign-in: the email address you use, or your Google account email and first name if you continue with Google. We use it only to sign you in on any device. No password is stored, and we never email you marketing.

The display name and club you choose, the leagues you join, your predictions and your points. Your predictions are hidden from everyone until each game kicks off, then shown to the members of your leagues.

Short banter lines on receipt cards are written by an AI model from the facts of a graded prediction (names, scores and the result). No other personal data is sent to it.

Data is stored with Supabase and the site is served by Vercel, which may process it outside Nigeria and the UK under their standard safeguards.

You can ask us to delete your account. Your name is then removed and your past predictions are shown as "Former member" so league histories stay consistent.

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.

BantaWars is an independent fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by any club, league, federation or player. Club colours are used only to tell teams apart.

Fixtures and results are provided by football-data.org. We do our best to keep them accurate but cannot guarantee it.
